For many, our humble nature is a handicap for ourselves as well as our community and family. We tend to not tout our accomplishments and can be more reserved in our passions. We call it humility, yet not realizing that by not standing up and standing out, we deprive our children and neighbors of a role model. I’m sharing this video for inspiration and especially to vicariously showcase the emotional feeling that a physical accomplishment of yours can have on others around you.

Is it our obligation to stand up to be a beacon so that others can draw inspiration from our courage, and lessons from our integrity? If not us, then who?

PS… I am not a sponsor of this race(subject of the youtube video), but I just signed up for a toughmudder this summer!
